FATHERS DAY STEAK WITH AVO

Recipe

  • 2 large ripe avocados, peeled and pip removed
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely crushed or grated
  • 2 teaspoons hot sauce (optional)
  • Good squeeze of lemon
  • Pinch of salt and good grinding of black pepper
To serve:
  • Steak cooked to your liking
  • Shebo, or tomato onion relish
  • Pap or samp

Description

  1. Make the topping by mashing the avocado roughly with a fork and mixing in the other ingredients.
  2. Spoon dressing on top of cooked steak, serve with extra lemon wedges, and serve immediately.
